Okayy, some people think that Harry Potter moved because of Twilight. What do you think??

Well as far as im aware, harry potter moved because they want to make money although they gives us some other excuses

And people seem to think it's because of Twilight movie and they leave harsh comments on stephenie meyers site

I know Twilight has moved too, to Harry Potters old release date but i believe it's because there arent any good movie coming out in november so they moved just to fill in

what do you think??

i think it's to increase anticipation and hence increase the revenue. We've had sooo many good movies so far.. so I think they thnk that there would be too much competition. I'm pretty pissed about the move :S

no it wasn't moved because of twilight, loads of the twilight websites tell you that, it's gettin annoyin why the h**l would harry potter be moved back because of twilight that makes no sense

I don't think it's because of Twilight.

It is most likely because they just want more money.

It really sucks.

It wasn't because of Twilight. Harry Potter would have made tons of money and topped the box office even with Twilight coming out 3 weeks later. The real reason the movie is delayed is that WB feels the movie will make more money in the summer. They also just made a lot of money with Dark Knight and they don't need more money right now.

It has absolutely nothing to do with "Twilight." Harry Potter would have been released three full weeks before "Twilight" - more than enough time for it to make a ton of money.

Also, the "Twilight" thing is being overstated by fans. Yes, the movie will be successful, but it doesn't have a fanbase as large as HP does. For that reason, HP will ultimately earn more than "Twilight" no matter when it is released.

I believe it was a bunch of reasons and yes I do think Twilight was one of them, I don't care enough to send a email to Meyers or anything. I also know that due to the writers strike there is a lack of movies to release next summer so they have to fill those spots with things they know will make money

On the good side now they are saying we are getting 6 and 7 and 7's other half 6 months apart. yay
