The VfB Stuttgart duo is delighted with their current role at the club and insist that Bruno Labbadia is the right man for the side.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shimizu-S-Pulse-c40506 but has found
life a little different in the Bundesliga. He feels that his Stuttgart stint has helped him significantly in improving as a player and is at ease in whatever position his manager asks him to play.
The player revealed that he was always used as a striker in Japan and hardly played on the wing. However, Die Roten use him in both positions which has given him a chance develop further. The Japanese international claimed that
he is getting better with every passing game and is confident of improving further as a player.
While talking to sports website Spox.com, the 25-year-old attacker further added:
"In http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 I was a striker through and through. One who played up front and always wanted to score goals. But even before I signed with Stuttgart I knew that I would have to change. I'm used exactly where I'm most valuable for the
team."
Okazaki’s Japanese teammate, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gotoku-Sakai-c15191, also expressed his delight on his recent performances for Stuttgart. He compared himself with Bayern Munich’s Philipp Lahm and admitted that he tries to emulate the German international
while playing at the left-back position. Sakai has so far made two league appearances for Stuttgart since signing from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Albirex-Niigata-c38297 in 2012.
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 is a similar player to me and he plays well at left-back for Bayern. I look to him as an example for myself," Sakai added.
The defender also showered praise on his manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bruno-c8098 Labbadia, whom he thinks is fit enough to find a place in Stuttgart’s starting XI. "He is fit enough to play. He does what he requires of us. I've never seen that in a coach
before,” the Japanese concluded.
Stuttgart are currently ninth in the Bundesliga with 26 points and will next take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 on Saturday, February 25, at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena.
