Oky what could I ask since I made an excuse for money and really need help.?

Okay well I needed money for an emergency and said that I needed the money for my car because I said the check engine light is on and it idles Hi. (Partly true) And It needs to cost around 1100 dollars and so on because i Have to tell them whats wrong with it bc they gave me the money i supposively am using on my car. It needs to truely be the cause of these problems and cost around 1100 please help, thanks.

The answer is that your evaporative canister (http://www.carcare.org/Emission_Control/...

became saturated for some reason (probably a bad check valve) and ruined your oxygen sensor through a too rich mixture.  That triggered the check engine light, and forced the engine into a "limp home" mode whereby it idled at 1500 rpms instead of the normal.  The car also had some dry rotted vacuum lines.  Your mechanic then told you that if you didn't fix it soon, it would ruin the catalytic converter, and you could never pass an inspection again unless you replaced EVERYTHING in the emission control system. (You have a greedy mechanic)

Costs:

Canister + labor - 450

Oxy sensor + labor - 400

Vacuum lines + labor - 100

Scanning and diagnostics - 100

Total:            1050
