Ola John: I am young and can learn a lot at FC Twente – Dutch Eredivisie news
Reports in Dutch media indicate that Arsenal and Manchester United are monitoring the progress of FC Twente Enschede sensation, Ola john. However, the 19-year-old has revealed that he wants to develop his skills further before making a move away from De
Grolsch Veste.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Tukkers youth academy and started his professional career at De Grolsch Veste last season. Although the youngster has featured in only 13 games for the Tukkers, he has already impressed many in Netherlands and in Europe
with his performances on the left flank.
John has revealed that he is well aware of interest shown by the European clubs in acquiring his services. The 19-year-old believe that he has to learn a lot at De Grolsch Veste before making his dream move to represent one of the top European clubs.
”Manchester United and Arsenal wanted me but I think I am still young and can learn a lot at Twente. If you are that good, the opportunity will come again when you are older”, John said while talking to the media.
The young winger then went on to admit that he dreams of playing in English Premier League, but admitted that time is not right for such a move.
“Playing in England is my dream of course. But it is too early to go to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 is a good club so why would I want to leave”, John concluded.
The 19-year-old, who fled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liberia-c2941 when he was only 2 years old, is reportedly very close to his family, which forced him to deny moving abroad.
“I’m very close to my mother and younger sister and did not want to go abroad”, John said earlier.
The young winger signed an extension to his contract in December 2010 that will keep him at De Grolsch Veste until the summer of 2014.
