What was Pistol Pete's sting tension against the recent Federer Ex match???

Talking about the retired ol' grandpa pete sting? You'd imagine that it would be in the 62lb area wouldn't it?!?!?

  1. It doesn't make sense that he has the nickname Pistol Pete. The real Pistol Pete was a basketball player and it MEANT something. To call samprass that doesn't have any significance other than Pat Mac using it and then the rest of the tennis world cathcing on, but that's it. That's the only reason and its dumb.  Nicknames are given because they're earned.

The other guy already answered about the tension, so I figure I'd let sleeping dogs lie.

  2. It changes a lot over time. In his early years, it was strung around the low 60's. Later on, as he got stronger and his game evolved, it was strung at 75. I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking his current tension would be in between the two, but closer to the latter one. While he may arguably be weaker, nothing beats muscle memory, and the 75 lb. tension is more ingrained in him.
