Old MacDonald's Dilemma (riddle!)?

Old MacDonald has $100 and has to buy 100 pigs.

Chickens are $0.50

Pigs are $5

Cows are $10

He has to buy at least one of each animal.

There are two solutions to this problem.

Here is one:

90 chickens (90*.5=45) $45

9 pigs (9*5=45) $45

1 cow (1*10=10) $10

He has to have exactly 100 animals for $100

What is the other answer?????

  1. *after a VERY long time of thinking*

    there aren't any other sollutions

  2. If he has to buy only pigs, then what on Earth do those other animals even have to do with this whole riddle(-wannabe)? Weird...

Edit: Ok, so it was animals after all ;P

  3. I've checked, and there is no other solution that results in exactly 100 animals for $100 with one or more of each animal.  At least not without buying parts of animals, and obviously livestock purchasing doesn't work that way.

  4. i clearly think this is a trick question lol

  5. Gives the $100 to the local police social club fund?

  6. though you said he had to buy 100 pigs...
