Old Midland CB be plugged into the cig.lighter?

I have a 25 year old Midland CB and I thought it would be fun to hook in into my late 90's Ford Taurus SE. I have no idea where to put the electrical wiring so I thought I could buy a cigarette lighter adapter from Wal-mart. The adapter costs about $2.00 with the plug and the positive and negative wire. The CB has a positive, a negative wire which i think is the ground wire. Would it work if I connected the positive and negative from the CB to the adapter and plugged it into the cigarette lighter. I would really like to hook this though the lighter so if anyone could help, I would be tremendously greatful. Thanks.

yeah it should work, i actually did that in high school so i could take it out easy and put it in my friends vehicles.
