Question:

Old Navy Interview - Problem?

So I have an interview tomorrow at Old Navy. On the online application it asks if you are over 16, and I checked yes, and the guy who called me today to set the interview time also asked if I was 16. On impulse I said yes, because I assumed that I would be starting in September and it wouldn't really matter then anyways, because my birthday is September 7th. But, I might have to start immediatley. The problem is that I am 15, and I am turning 16 in exactly two weeks. I feel kind of bad/scared now, and I'm not sure if I should tell the guy tomorrow at the interview or not. Because, if I give him my social insurance number or whatever, he'll be able to find out right?

So basically my question is should I tell him tomorrow (and how much will it ruin my chances?), or should I continue to lie, and hope he/someone doesn't find out?

  1. Just tell him that your birthday is in 2 weeks.  They might hire you, but might not let you start work until after your birthday.

  2. Really? You have to tell him because if he finds out that you are lying on purpose, instead of an "accident"?? then they will immediately throw your application away.
