I am signed up for Old Navy's emails and they send stuff periodically advertising their sales and telling you the coupon codes to use at checkout online for free shipping or discounts or whatever.

The promo codes that are posted on coupon sites are usually expired offers, or they are codes that are valid all the time only if you are a credit card holder for the store.

Generally it doesnt make sense for a company to post a promo code on another company's website for everyone to use... if they wanted people to use a promo code, they would post it on their own website and make it easy for all of us.  

If you're signed up for the store's email, you won't have to search for the codes.
