What was one face wrestler that you could not get into no matter how hard you & WWE tired to get him over with you on an individual level ?

For me it was Hillbilly Jim, he had his moments but overall as a child I was always bored to tears with him...

What about you ?

  1. Loved the wrestlers he had but hated Slick as a manager but loved when the other heel managers set him up and beat his ***. Think Bobby Henan and Freedy Blassie was the other managers with Master Fugi

  2. Kerry Von Eric I'm sorry I think he was a good wrestler but I never really liked him that much

  3. i would have to say Bret Hart...the man is a great wrestler but for some reason i coudnt really get into him that much to say he is my favorite wrestler...

  4. Does it have to be the WWE?  Because if not, I'd say "Double A" Arn Anderson.  I could not for the life of me get into "The Enforcer" even though he was my older brother's favorite and WCW seemed to like him.  He bored me to death and even when I watch his stuff now, I still don't like him.

  5. one

  6. Bret Hart - great wrestler- just  could not bring myself to like him

  7. First of all, lets refer it to the title that wrestling was robbed of! The WWF!

One wrestler I couldn't really get into was Big John studd. However I love the epic battle between him and Andre the Giant, and especially loved it when Andre the giant kicked his a$$!

  8. Stone Cold Steve Austin. He was just a brawler nothing special cool gimmick but when i was a kid he bored me. and looking back i probabaly marked out for him like 3 times. Backlash 2000, the whole beer truck mcmahon thing and probably something else i can't remember.

also kane he was boring as h**l(no pun intended) but he did creep me out

  9. Dave Batista.

  10. Ric flair! can't/couldn't get into him

  11. Tito Santana.  Lots of talent, good wrestler, but I just never could get into him.  I think they just tried too hard to make him a "goody two-shoes" during the "Rock & Wrestling" phase of the WWF, especially with the Strike Force team of Santana and Rick Martel.  Maybe the problem with that is he (and Strike Force) were marketed towards children, and I was in my late-20's.

  12. Ultimate Warrior.  I could just tell the guy had no wrestling ability and his interviews were annoying with the snorting!

  13. There is no such thing as an old school WWE fan! Old School WWF fan, yes, old school WWE fan, NO. LOL.

Actually the one guy that I could not get into (at the time) was for some strange reason was Don Muraco (although, I love The Magnificent one now)

  14. Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Try as hard as they might,I just couldn't take him seriously.

He acted like a drunken fool in all his promos.

  15. Brutus the barber beefcake, hated him with a passion!

[Tied with Million Dollar Man and Mr Perfect.]

  16. This might sound a bit strange to most old school WWE fans, but d**n I could not get in to Hulk Hogan.

I just don't know why. I just hated his sucking up to the crowd, and I hated how he was so simple in the ring and slow. To be honest, as a kid, I would love it when the heel would beat him up but then hate the fact that he'd just wag a finger and get the 3 count with two moves. It never got over with me.

Another reason I didn't like him was at the time he was all so famous, I was more in to wrestlers like Sting, who was more business than pleasure, as Hulk was. I've always preferred the quite but violent face character.

  17. Red Rooster. I think that everyone will agree with me on this one. c**k-a-doodle-doo!!!!!! LOL
