I have a Schwinn Starlight Bicycle from the early sixties. How do I find out when it was made, how much its worth and where I can get parts? Would it be worth my money to restore it?

  1. A Starlight probably isn't worth restoring especially if it is a womens model. They usually are cannibalized to restore mens bikes.

To date an old Schwinn, locate the serial number, either on the headtube or on a rear dropout. If it is from 1964 or later you will see 2 letters that come first. The second letter is the year, starting with "A" for 1964, "B" for '65 and so on, skipping the letter"I" and "O". The first letter is the month- "A" is January and so on, skipping "I".
