There has been debated between which Pro V1 is the best. Please add your choice and explain why.

My Opinion:

The new Titleist Pro V1s as they look better and I feel they have a higher spin rate

  1. I am no pro, but have played both. Single digit handicap and am partial to the old ones most likely because that is what I am used to. I am very confident that they would not have made the change without improvements, but golf is a mind game. I have convinced myself that I will stay in the 70's with the old model, the new ones simply make me think... them my round is shot once I think :)

  2. i was very impressed with the pro vi when it came out as it is very durable but retains a lot of feel. i thought that the ball was an improvement over the old balata titlest balls which did not ware very well, (only lasting a round or so).As for the new pro vi i think that companies make changes only to improve a product and it will definitely suit a large percentage of golfers. It is only by trying the ball out that you will find out if it suits your game.

  3. Since I have found both these balls and had the opportunity to use them, I see no difference in the feel, the distance or any other playing characteristic. With a swing speed as low as mine ( closer to my age ) the benefits, if any, are not apparent. I am inclined to use the Titleist So-Lo because it feels right coming off the club face. Spin rate  isn't built into any golf ball. That comes from the proper golf swing of hitting the ball before hitting the turf. Notice Tiger's shots draw back very little than those of just four seasons ago.
