Old battery corrosion in digital camera question?

i left some old batteries in my cam and when i opened the hatch, they were corroded and must of leaked a little. the terminals look ok, but there is a little discoloration on them. i tried to clean what little is there. do you think my cam is damaged?

If the batteries only leaked a little, the camera should be okay. You can use a pencil eraser to clean off the corrosion and residue off the terminals if they are inside the camera. The big test will be if the camera works properly or not.
