Question:

Old computer internet -.-?

I got this old old compaq presario 1215 laptop that i found in the basement and im really bored so im gona install linux ubuntu on it. . . but there is not a ethernet port on the back, just a phone jack. I want to be able to access the Internet on it to download a program or so...suggestions?

  1. Get a PCMCIA ethernet adapter.  If it has a USB port though, and you have a USB modem, then just install the drivers onto it through that.  Else download the Ubuntu ISO on another machine and burn it to a CD.
