Welding kit? Also in the box is a label reading R.J. Hunt & Sons. Military , naval and court hairdressers. Kings St. & Broad St. Jersey( Channel Islands near France not USA).
The instructions read..To set the instrument in action, insert the Terminals at the end of the Cords in the small holes or Binding screws. Then move the switch. To increase the Current, gradually draw out the Nickel Tube of the instrument till the required strength is obtained. For increased currents the terminals may be placed as follows- no.1-Prim-prim Sec. No2.-Prim sec-Sec. No.3- Prim and sec.
Taking great care that before altering the Terminals the Tube is pushed in and gradually drawn out again for increasing current.
Keep the Current running for not more than Five Minutes at a time, allowing a few seconds to intervene before recommencing.
N.B.-Never allow the Handles to touch each other when using the Instrument.
The Germans were occupying the islands(WWII)so the item was hidden.
Any ideas?
