Old moral/saying/story, guy needs a tire jack, it ends up being a moral for not worrying ahead of time?

I heard this saying once, but I can't remember how it goes.

It's something about a man who's car broke down and he needs to borrow a tire jack, but on the way he thinks of all these things that could go wrong. . . and the morale ends up being not to worry about things so far ahead of time.

Anyone remember it in detail?
