  1. contact Old Navy and ask them

  2. That's pretty much how all loss prevention jobs are because of civil liability. As far as I know...Old Navy loss prevention does not make stops. They only alert the police.

  3. My only contact with Old Navy LP was with an area LP manager who was doing some internal investigations.

Most LP I knew focused most of their energy on Internal Theft, since most of the losses come from within.

Back when I worked Mall Security and LP (1996-2000), JCPenney was one of the most aggressive with external theft....they would not even hesitate to fight.

Most companies are quite paranoid about 'bad stops' and have a bunch of rules in place to prevent them.  It's much cheaper to watch some merchandise walk away than to settle a law suit.

Good luck with your job search.

PS, where (geographically) did you work for Sears?
