Old or new?

I got my hamster recently and n one ever told me how old he is or what breed he is, is there any way I can tell with out taking him to the vet? And what are some things I need to watch out for? :)

  1. u have 2 watch out for how he acts ...if he is normaly hypered he must be young but if he normaly jzt sits there ever really runs or show some kind of hapy emotion then he must be old....also see how much he eats...the older the pet the more it eats...u could also watch out for what kind of things he used to play with.....when they are little they mostly grab every tjing to play play with


  2. Can you post a picture of him? This will help greatly.

    Could be a teddy bear or syrian hamster. I am not sure of his age.

  3. well you could check there teeth if they arnt yellow than  hes less than 3 months old. Im thinking that if you got him form a breeder, pet store, or a person selling some baby hamsters from an unexpected pregnansy hes probally 5-8 weeks old.
