  1. i do and it's the most rewarding job you could ever do.it does however take a bit of getting used to but when you get over the first couple of weeks it's great to know your giving comfort to some one in their final years.

  2. You don't seem to have much respect for older people.  That is a shame. I wonder who changed your nasty diapers when you were a baby.  It is not a job that I am qualified to do , but kudos to those that do that kind of work.  You have to be very kind and caring to work in a nursing home, I can see why it's not for you.

  3. I believe the term in our politicaly correct socieity would be elderly as

oppose to old, in any case, my wife did it all her life, she's a RN . . .

btw, not only old oops lol. elderly, shame on me, but also she's seen

many of you youngsters,  teens as well as middle age as well as

    elderly . . .

I call her and those women in that profession, Angels In White  . . .

they're the ones who should get what atheltes and movie stars

make, any one can chase a ball, kids do everyday and don't even

get payed 4 it, and movie stars, whatever that is nowadays . . .

  4. Everyone have their own specialty in life I really admire people who dedicated their lives by taking care of others. To answer you question I would only care for someone in my family besides back when I was in high school I went to a nursery home for seniors to sing Christmas carols and I couldn't stop crying. This poor people are just left there with no one to care for them, so definitely not the place for me to work.

  5. Yes, I could.  We all will get to that point if we live that long, so don't make fun of diapers.  Someone had to do it for you when you were a baby, and someone will have to do it for you when you get elderly

  6. I think you need to be reminded that some day you are going to become one of those old people and may need someone to change your "diaper" or nappy as we call it.

I suggest you get a voluntary job helping old people and then whether you like it or not you can come back on here and comment on it.

As someone else has said, it can be a very rewarding job. Ive done it myself.

  7. i'd like to answer yes, but to be honest, no chance!

  8. I think they should pay more for that job. I wouldnt do it for less than 20 an hour. They dont pay half that in most places. You see way too much and do way to much.

  9. I couldn't, but someone has to!
