Old photography studios in montreal, canada?

is there some sort of website that would give me info on old photography studios in montreal? i have several old photos that are postcard photos with the name of the studio and photographer on the back - i want to date the pics by knowing when the photographer or studio was around. many thanks for any help.

(also, any website with info on studios in europe?)

Have you typed their names into Google?You will be surprised what might come up.Otherwise try your local Archival library.
