11 ANSWERS

  1. tyson

  2. marciano battered joe louis.... joe louis is a legend, wtf is tyson?, if your gonna make an example to compare to marciano let it atleast be a good boxer, marciao knocked out i think his first 16 opponents in the first round.... he never ever lost and he never drawn a fight, marciano cant be beaten, because he was never beaten whilst he was alive, so its virtually impossible for us to say he would beat him or tyson is to fast, tyson is to strong, BS tyson is an over rated bum and lennox lewis put him in his place

  3. marciano because of the fact he doesnt stop and tyson has been known to loose his temper and he is not discipline enough like the old school boxers, the point advantage might go to tyson because the styles of boxing differes from different era but marciano would win probably by knockout, also marciano and ali had that computer fight and knock out ali and this was a time when ali was still in his prime and undeafeated.  Also marciano had a high rate of knocks and could take a beaten as well.  Plus he his mind was focus more and really did damage to the body.

  4. Tyson by early round TKO. By accomplishments and historical impact the Rock is the superior fighter, but In the Ring Evolution prevails and the 188 pound Marciano just cannot handle the shots from Iron Mike.

    Fantasy:

Tyson races across the ring and tags Marciano, Marciano backs up and tries to Jab, Tyson follows, Marciano Clinches and Holds and gets some shots into the body. By round 4 Tyson is tired and Marciano starts to find his range and dials in, by Round 7 Tyson hits the deck. Tyson gets up but is sent back to the Mat again.  Marciano by 7th round KO.

    Reality:

Marciano looks at Tyson pacing in his corner and wonders how the h**l he let himself get talked into this.  The Bell rings and Tyson charges across the ring Marciano throws a jab, Tyson slips the jab and comes up underneath with a right hook to the body, followed by a left hook to the body, followed by a right hook up stairs, followed by a left hook which wizes over Marciano's head who was already on his way down from the right hook.

Marciano gets back up on shaky legs and looks at his corner like, what the h**l was that!! He hits much harder then Walcott or Moore. The ref wipes off Marciano's gloves, Tyson charges again and Marciano ties him up, unfortunately for Marciano Tyson outweighs him by 35 lbs and Tyson just throws hooks to the body followed by short uppercuts that break Marciano's hold on Tyson. A another left uppercut sends Marciano crashing to the canvass again.

The tough as nails Marciano gets up again and this time tries to move and box, but Marciano is not very good at fighting backing up and Tyson catches a retreating Marciano and puts him down again. The corner throws in the towel and the fight is ended with 20 seconds left in the first round.

To the guy who said Rocky knocked out all his opponents and that he beat Joe Louis, well Louis was old, shot and washed up and just coming back from retirement when Marciano beat him.  As for his opponents he knocked out they were all around 188 lbs as well and mostly local tough men with no real defense or boxing skill to speak of. Marciano is made of bone and muscle just like everyone else, no way his bone chin at 188lbs stands up too Tysons Uppercuts or hooks....its not possible, he would be superhuman and since he died in a plane crash we all know he was human. Other then the top elite fighters of the early 30's and before most others were local tough men, dock workers and firefighters who boxed once in a while for extra cash. These were Marciano's opponents for most his career, same with Louis,Dempsey and Johnson. These guys were years ahead of their competition and trained all year round.

  5. Here we go again.

The popular pick here is Marciano.  But let's be realistic.  There is only one way Rocky could win this but, first, let's go with the realistic.

There is NO WAY two fighters of this type, the short, tank style, who differ so much in weight and strength, would fight with the smaller one prevailing.  There are differences between the two as fighters but, in terms of styles, they are essentially the same.

Both are short for Hvts. but Tyson is about 35lbs heavier and much stronger naturally.  P4P, Rocky is the superior but they are not the same weight.  Tyson is 216lbs. and Rocky is 188lbs.  Tyson is faster and punches harder.  Rocky hit HIS opponents as hard or harder than Tyson hit HIS but NONE of Rocky's opponents compare to Tyson.

In the reality,  Tyson would win by early KO.  Only Rocky's tremendous HEART keeps him in the fight longer than the 1-2 rounds of Tyson's Prime opponents.  It's just simple physics.  There are not enough differences in style to see it any differently.

    How could Rocky possibly win?

The only way Rocky could win is if BOTH fought during the same era.  Rocky would still be naturally smaller.  However, training and nutrition are different today.   Rocky would be about 202-205 today.  Tyson would be a Prime 216.  Now the fight becomes more interesting.

Tyson would still have the edge in speed and power.  However, at a natural 202, which I believe Rocky would still carry comfortably,  he would also be able to come closer to matching Tyson's power.  Rocky would give up a little in stamina but he would still out-last Tyson.

Both have Horrible balance.  Tyson has the better chin, though some don't give him credit for it.  Rocky would fall a few times in the early rounds.  However he would rise and survive until Tyson begins to slow down in the middle rounds.

Reduced to throwing one punch at a time and discouraged that his best shots haven't gotten Rocky outta there,  Mike is picking his shots.  In the later rounds Rocky begins to wear Tyson down.  He never puts him on the deck but Tyson is unable to defend himself when the ref steps in.

    Marciano by TKO in 12

  6. Marciano was a pretty tough guy, but I think Tyson would probably win.  That one jackhammer to the head is all that it would take.

  7. marciano. tyson is over rated.

  8. marciano never let up, and tyson always got frustrated when the going got tough, so the clearer head wins, and marciano ko's a tired tyson in 12 rounds.

  9. My husband thinks Tyson

  10. mike was too fast for the rock..tyson 85 sec rd.1

  11. Old School! Marciano!
