Ok i have an old (80's early 90's) GE television. It has no place to attach a dvd player. (what i call the red yellow and white plugs) and i have a directv dvr-tivo thing hooked up to it. is there anyway i can hook up a dvd player to it? I thought i saw something at walmart once that said hook up any dvd player to any tv. i may have been mistaken but what is that, how much would it cost, does it work? or if you know of any other way i could hook up a dvd player to it. i tried hooking it up through the dvr box thing but i couldn't get it to work. thanks. if you need to know any more just tell me and i'll put in more details.

  1. Try Radio Shack

  2. It is a modulator. Basically you connect the dvd to it and then it to the TVs antenna input. If the directtv is already connected there then you would need to move it over to the modulator's ant input and the modulator would do the switching for you. They can be as cheap as $15 on up for multiple inputs and input types.
