It is my understanding that the change occurred prior to Athens but after  Sydney and Atlanta. Do you have any links to cover those events?

Well you if you use google like an educated person does and find out US has always tallied total medals, then you don't get to spread your jealous whiny crybaby hate and lies about America. That's the main reason wimpy foreigners don't use google to answer their questions.
