Old vs young?

Why do young people love loud music & loud noise, while old people like peace & quiet?

I guess it has something to do with your youthness, when you are young, you are full of energy and that youth in you is active and alive, which makes one to dance, listen to music loud, keep looking at mirror, imitating those songs or music from movies and lot more.  Its just that one feel that they are in their prime and its time to enjoy their life as a result of which this attitude is prevalent when one is young.

While being old, has a set of its own problems and more responsibilities.  Also ones mind is conditioned that as you get older, one has to behave in a certain way.  Even if one has that youthful feeling, people around will not accept, if an aged person is behaving as a youth does.  Also, as you grow old, that youth in you is slowly dying and one starts becoming more aware of the age factor, which plays big in ones mind.

lol young ppl have still yet a lot to learn to be subtle and peaceful.. they havent found inner piece which is something older people have and enjoy...

Young people today are often hearing impaired, since they are surrounded from an early age by deafeningly loud music and other noise pollution. Older folks are seeking refuge from that same environmental contamination.

Because trends in music change, so that the music of today's youth seems very noisy and annoying, compared to the music of yesteryear.  And whoever said that young people know how to "just be themselves" more than older people is obviously very young indeed to believe that.  And I'm not old, just observant.

Biologically, your body needs more relaxation once you are old. Loud music will bring enthusiasm and uneasiness. Soothing music has the relaxing effect on the body, thats why, i guess, elderly like peace and quiet.

Elderly are more old-fashioned; they are more subtle and quiet and they don't know how to do much because they're not used to the big flashy trends and fads that we have nowadays...

Whereas "young people" are more used to the idea of just having fun and just being themselves.

Older people have gone through all the trials, and tribulations of life.  Their nerves are much weaker, because of it, and therefore they can not take loud noise or loud music.  They want to finally enjoy peace and quiet in their old age.
