Question:

Old woman thrown off the shuttle bus. Should she sue?

Vacationing in Las Vegas with her daughter, an 82 year old woman was thrown off a shuttle bus when the driver closed the door as she was getting on the bus. She fell on the ground and broke her arm. Police was called and the ambulance rushed her to the hospital.

Because of the accident, she missed her flight to San Francisco in her multi city tour. She had to incur additional hotel expenses in Las Vegas and cancellation fees of the airline. And of course, hospitalization costs. The shuttle bus was reserved through Orbitz along with the airlines and hotel.

Should she sue? If she does, will the lawsuit be in Vegas? Both are foreigners and just visiting the US for a month. There's the time element here. The shuttle bus company already called the family of the old woman who arranged for the trip.

Any advice from anyone who has been in this situation is greatly appreciated. Thanks

  1. You have a case.

Even if it was an honest accident there is a party that is responsible.

I'm sure the bus is insured for this type of injury / accident.

    Hire an attorney.
