Older b/w tv sound don't work what could be the problem?Can it be fixed?

the turn on button and the sound button is the same. it turns on but no sound help

You have not really given enough information to be able to tell what the problem is however, I would say that it's almost certainly fixable. There are very few problems that can't be.

Whether or not it is actually _worth_ getting it fixed.... well, that's a different question.

A tV as old as that probably has a variable pot for the volume control.  You can spray some contact cleaner on the pot and see if that helps.  You can get this contact cleaner at Radio Shack.  Careful if you decide to get inside to do this.  There are very high dangerous voltages present inside even with the TV OFF.  Otherwise, take it to a competent TV technician.

wat i recomend doing is try taking it to a tv specialty store and see if they can repair it... that or if you know a lot about them try taking it apart yourself... make sure to check all wires and remove as much dust from the inside of the tv
