I just bought a new ACER aspire m3100 computer. I have a Windows xp laptop that I used to download all my older video camera (sony ccd-trv608) footage to Windows movie maker. Now after plugging in usb cable and trying to put the video footage on new computer, it says device not found. I tried to look for a compatible driver download online, but found nothing.. Any ideas would be a great help.. Thanks

  1. This method of USB video transfer is no longer supported - by Microsoft or Sony.

Here is your camcorder's home page:

    http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-h...

The ONLY way I can think of to transfer this video is by using an "analog/digital bridge" like those from Pinnacle:

Connect the camcorder to the A/D bridge with the AV cables that came in the box with the camcorder; connect the A/D bridge to the computer.
