  1. Clerkenwell was the focus of the Italian community in London for some time, so this might be a good place to look. This BBC article says the oldest Italian shops and restaurants are located there and some are still open. As to which one is the oldest? This may require some further investigation.


  2. What a good question. unfortunately I have no idea. I did a quick Google on the subject but came up with nothing. I should think it is in London somewhere.

  3. Can't give a concrete answer to this, but a friend and I used to eat in an Italian place in Clekenwell too, so the previous answer could well be right.  I can't remember the year it was established but I know it was a REALLY long time ago.

  4. Only just spotted the italian addition but I was going to suggest the trip to Jerusalem in Nottingham, its very old and the cobwebs are original.
