What do you think of it. Do you think that technological civilization will collapse in a few years as we run out of cheap accessable energy.

As far as your question no it won't adaption through natural selection will probably occur

I think collapse is a strong word. I think we will have to transition to other forms of energy when we have no choice, regardless of cost.

And I think we have more than a "few years". Depending on what you define as few.

I would be more worried about the impending shortage of potable water.
