Former Kuban Krasnodar striker, Oleg Teryokhin, believes Dynamo Moscow’s Sergei Silkin is still the right man for the managerial http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 despite the Russian outfit failing to secure UEFA Champions League berth after finishing 4th
in the league standings.
News in Russia suggests that the White-blues are considering sacking Silkin, who stepped up to take the managerial charge at Moscow after Miodrag Bozovic’s shocking departure in 2010, after a disappointing campaign.
If speculations are to be believed the Policemen are keeping tabs on Kuban Krasnodar’s Dan Petrescu and Rubin Kazan’s Kurban Berdyev. And whether or not Berdyev will join Dynamo, Petrescu is earmarked as a favourite to replace
Silkin at the moment.
However, Teryokhin believes that the 51-year-old manager can turn the tables around should he be given more time at Moscow. He praised Silkin and pointed out the noticeable achievements the former Dinamo Minsk man has made since
joining the Moscow-based club.
“Yes, it was a tough year for Silkin but now I am sure he has figured out who is who and what is the root cause for their sudden demise. We must give that person a little more chance after letting him stay for another year. Because
it will be difficult for the newcomer to properly understand the problems.”
“I think Dynamo are not in a very serious problem as they will play in Europe next season. I think Silkin will start fixing the errors and try to get maximum output from the team.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
There is little arguing that Belo-golubye have had a decent campaign under Silkin in which they secured UEFA Europa League qualification and managed to reach the Russian Cup final, for the first time in twelve years.
Silkin, meanwhile, made some landmark signings ever since he has stepped up to take the managerial charge at Moscow. He signed the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Noboa-c9105, Balazs Dzsudzsák and Roman Berezovsky respectively.
