Olevia Syntax 32 in. HDTV flat screen

Question

I have a 2 year old Olevia 32 in. Syntax tv. It just cut off one day and won't turn back on. Even the power light does not come on. We checked the power strip that it was plugged into and that works fine. We went and bought a 50 in. Vizio, plugged it into the same surge protector and it works like a champ! Is this a normal issue with the Olevia's? Is it a temporary t.v. or what? Any help would be appreciated.
