Olhausen pool table is the best of the best?

Six years ago when I was purchasing a table, I was told that Olhausen was the best. Another source said that it was one of the two best. I have been very pleased with mine.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they're the best. Who are they the best for? You may want to consider a few things before you look at purchasing a table for a names sake.

Is the frame solid wood or pressed wood? Does is have four legs or a pedestal at each end. Are the pockets plastic or leather? Does it have a ball return or not? Is the playing surface particle board, some type of synthetic material, 1/2" or 3/4" slate? What kind of felt does it have and what color is it? Does it have a floating rail system? What kind of rubber are the rails made of? Is the table appealing to the eye?

With all of that, which table is "best"? You couldn't prove by me. I think it just becomes a matter of preference and selecting a "name" table that is reputable and produces a good quality product.

Olhausen certainly makes a great pool table.

I believe that Brunswick is still the "best of the best".  

It's a matter of personal preference and feel. You can't go wrong with either.

For me...... NOTHING 'feels' better than a Brunswick!

Brunswick have the name, the history, the pedigree and make some exceedingly nice looking tables.

Even if Olhausen did make a better table, I think my money would still be going to Brunswick.
