The veteran conceded that Mario is getting the goals very easily and could be the buy of the campaign for the Bundesliga giants. In terms of goals, he has had a dream start for such a massive club.
"Up to now, Mario's been practically scoring at will for Bayern,” Olic was quoted as saying in an interview.
"As a striker, it couldn't have been a better start for him," the former Dinamo Zagreb and CSKA Moscow mused.
The frontman has stiff competition for places in the forward role but Olic feels he can compete and retain his place in the Bayern line-up.
"Despite the fierce competition for a place in attack, I think he has a chance of establishing himself and playing an important role for the club," he finally concluded.
Mandzukic will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form on Saturday when his side visit Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion.
