  1. Is China in a food crisis? I didn't think so.

  2. The olympics, in my opinion are over rated anyways, so yes, the price is to high. But thats because the olympics today are NOT what they used to be. It used to be that there was real people, really competing for real goals. Now its just a bunch of hopped up steriod abusers. The sport is no longer real.

Hey, watch the documentary China's Stolen Children. There are far worse things going on in that country then just ignoring the hungry and homeless.

  3. They shouldnt of had then there to begin with..They thought they would get more $$$ from the games but the polution ruined there fun

  4. It's a shame every one didn't boycot

  5. No cost is too high for ones ego. But think of it this way, it's only fifty bucks per citizen so it really isn't costing them that much financially. It is costing them a vast amount in other areas of life but their government doesn't see it that way.

  6. Lester Holt mentioned yesterday morning that the government tore down a large section of the poor part of town to build the Olympic Village.  He never said what happened to those people.  Were they given new housing elsewhere, or were they told "suck up and drive on" in Chinese?

China is the world's third largest economy.  And the International Olympic Committee reimburses host countries in part for hosting the games.

I'm sure poor people were resettled from other former host cities like Los Angeles, Sidney, Moscow...

  7. I'm not sure if there's a question here.  But China is a sovereign nation, & is not seeking assistance from the US.    If anything, they loan us money to buy oil from those who hate us the most.

  8. It's no different than the gov. does right here.  The congress fills their pockets with tax payers money  by inserting those so called ear  mark bills, they insert them just before they are passed  through the congress, and the congressman or woman gets a percentage of it or more in some cases. also look at the money thats sent over to Iraq and Afganistan for a war that we shouldn't have been.  We have homeless here and many people without work, what about them? where's our Gov. their? are these people getting help?
