I am going out to eat at Olive Garden tomorrow with my friend. What is the best thing to order for a main course? Dessert?

  1. I really like the Olive Garden, but I am a vegetarian. So, I mainly order penne with tomato sauce. The best part is the salad and breadsticks. They also have a minestrone vegetarian soup. If you order the pizza, don't expect it to be like most pizza places. It had a strange taste to it. They have many other dishes, but most are for meat eaters. Check out their web site. http://www.olivegarden.com/default_f.asp

As for dessert, I don't think they are the best place for dessert. I ordered Teramisu cake and I didn't like it, but I'm not really a coffee drinker. Maybe go out to an ice cream shop after dinner.

  2. I've at at the the Olive Garden a couple of times, its been a while, but both times I got the lasagna, and it was good!

Also you get free salad and bread sticks, I think its unlimited, run you run out, they give your more, they did us.

  3. its not very good.

    but uh...eh...

idk breadstricks n salad maybe...its hard to s***w up a salad.

  4. My favorite dish is chicken fettuccine alfredo and either raspberry cheesecake or tiramisu for dessert. I have heard their tour of italy dish is really good but that is too much food and way too pricey for me. Enjoy!!

  5. Depends on where you live and what the menu is like for your area (see website below). I like the Stuffed Chicken Marsala; Tuscan Garlic Chicken; Herb-grilled Salmon; Ravioli di Portebello; Steak Gorgonzola-Alfredo; Capellini Pomodoro - this last one is one of the lower fat dishes and I love it - it's a lot of food and I usually take leftovers (and did you know that leftover pasta is great reheated in the morning as a filling for an omelet for breakfast, or even on top of a slice of toast!).

For dessert - Tiramasu is my absolute favorite, although the Tiramasu at  Olive Garden tends to be more "chocolatey" rather than "coffee-ish". I've been to other italian restaurants where I liked the tiramasu better but I can't think of the name - it was in Little Rock, AR and I only got to go there two or three times (in the Hillcrest area). Otherwise, with what we have here, the tiramasu is great!! One of my all-time favorites! The Chocolate Gelato is great. They seem to rotate the desserts around for the seasons so I'm not seeing the fruity desserts that I've had in the past.

Hmmm sounds like a great idea, maybe we should go to Olive Garden tomorrow night?? (but I promise, we'll sit at a different table and not make any snarky remarks about what you and your friend order!! heheh!). I hope you have a great dinner. Oh and a little wine (if you partake, otherwise, ignore the comment, no offense intended, okay??) helps with the digestion should you get a heavier meal. I'm not seeing it on the wine menu for my area now, so they apparently changed out the varieties since the last time I was there, but last time I had a Shiraz wine that was just excellent - I think it was Little Penguin, but it could have been Black Opal lable. So that's another option but you hadn't asked so I wasn't sure whether to suggest - like I said, if that's not your bag, that's quite alright with me to disregard these suggestion. If you want non-alcoholic beverage, there are nice coffees or also a nice raspberry cream soda!! yum!!

  6. you know what I hate about that place, the people that work there have to always go around and sing that stupid happy birthday song to people

no one wants to hear that stupid **** when they are going out to dinner

  7. OK it depends  what you like and what your taste is?if you go there often and get the same thing when you go try something new.for desert  i would chose something simple because you don't want to get to full. Have Fun :)

  8. I  don't  care much about   Olive Garden,  so  I don't  go there.

I went there   twice and was  disappointed  both times

  9. go somewhere else, OG is disgusting

try finding a non franchise place, they're always better anyways.

  10. I can help you with an appetizer. Get the melted cheese which is like a cheese fondue, it comes with hot italian bread.  It is delicious.  The hot cappucino with whipped cream and cinnamon is delicious as well.

  11. pasta dish, cake

  12. main course - chicken pramigiana

    desert - lemon cream cake
