The legendary http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oliver-c28477 Kahn is unhappy with the way his side ended their Euro 2012 campaign.

Germany started their 2012 European Championships on a high. Despite been drawn in a group which included the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884, Die Mannschaft cruised to the quarter-finals of the Euro 2012 with three
wins from three games.
Joachim Low’s side managed to ease past a below par Greek side in the last eight and set up a clash with their bogey team http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, who they had not beaten in a major tournament. This time around the Germans however, were confident
of beating Cesare Prandelli’s side, who had a somewhat shaky start to the tournament.
The history was only the Azzurri’s side but the momentum was with the Nationalelf. When the two sides met the Germans were given a proper beating by the Italians, who disciplined Joachim Low’s side, who were absolutely clueless
when faced an Azzurri onslaught.
Kahn expressed his shock at seeing the DFB eleven getting the beat. The former Bayern Munich goalkeeper believes the Germans were tactically inept on that day, instead of focusing on their own tactics they focused too much on their
opponents’.
Low decided to counter the threat posed by Pirlo and other Italian midfielders by deploying Ozil on the wing and Kroos in the Real Madrid midfielders preferred attacking midfield position.
"I was surprised [by the loss to Italy]. Especially on a tactical basis. I do not know why we would focus on our opponents so much,” he is quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Die Mannschaft goalkeeper slammed the players’ attitude after conceding the first goal, he reckons there was not enough fight in them and they somewhat gave up and were not able to dictate the tempo
of the game.
"And secondly, the attitude of the players. When we went 1-0, then 2-0, down, I didn't feel like we had a plan B. The players did not look like they could force themselves on the game,” he added.
Kahn was absolutely spot-on in his assessment of the team’s performance. Everyone man and his dog knew that the game would be won or lost in the midfield, but Low decided to unsettle his midfield by bringing
in Kroos.
The midfielder had not started a game for Germany in the Euro 2012, and was a bit rusty, this certainly had effect on the whole midfield unit who were not comfortable in possession and were not able to dictate
the tempo.
