Oliver McCall? Has anyone else been impressed with how this OLDTIMER still fights?

I had the opportunity to see him knock out Przemyslaw Saleta in Chicago a couple years back. . . .I see McCall has only lost once since then. . .racking up quite a list of "competent" opponents, stopping most of them. How does the "Atomic Bull" never get press, but Jameel McCline gets more TV shots than Shaq at the foul line?

It's been a decade since the tears, so lay off. . . . he knocked Lennox on his ace on a particular night. . . .and none of us have done that.

Can McCall still be a force to be reckoned with in this heavyweight division?

  1. You know Mc Call has one of the best chins in boxing. I will give him props on that one. He was a former champion, but encountered outside problems that derailed his career. I think he has done a decent run as a Heavyweight and has a punchers chance in this dismal division......

  2. mc call lost his last fight  against gomez and two fights earlier his opponent (wilson) was over 50 years old and had a record of 12-40-4 (5 ko's)...so vlad, sam and sultan are a step up in class, but let him fight some decent guys and we'll take it from there.....at least his weight is coming down a bit.

  3. Well, he was in a position to challenge for the WBC title because he was ranked number one, but he lost a decision to Juan Carlos Gomez in an eliminator.  I was hoping he would win that fight, just to see him get another shot at a title, but he went the distance and even rocked Gomez late in the fight, so that right there proves that he is still a name in the heavyweight division.  He does have one of the best chins in heavyweight history and he can still bang, so who knows what will happen if he gets another shot down the road because he said that he's not retiring yet.
