While talking to reporters, the 26-year-old stated that to see France getting back to winning ways is very pleasing and Les Bleus’ performances against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 and Italy is a proof that Didier Deschamps’ side is on the rise again.
The striker added that although it was only a friendly game, the win against Italy has restored players’ morale. Giroud feels that playing away from home has helped France to some extent and there is now more confidence in the team.
"It is very nice to have built on the good things we did against Spain last month, and it is always nice to win, even friendly games."
"There is more confidence in the squad, perhaps facilitated by the fact we have playing away from home,” the former Tours players told reporters.
Talking about his personal performance, Olivier Giroud admitted that he has yet to find his scoring boots at this level but added that he is still new at the international arena and it will take him some time to get settle.
"Personally, I have not had too many opportunities to score and to play every three or four days is new to me, but I am happy with my performances."
