Arsenal’s striker, Olivier Giroud feels that he has been rather unlucky playing up front so far, but is hopeful that he will start scoring goals for the Gunners on a regular basis in the near future.
Following his move to the North London club, the striker has managed to score only one goal for the team. That goal came in Arsenal’s six goals to one win over Coventry City in the Carling cup.
However, the striker who managed to score a very impressive twenty one goals for Montpellier last season, has almost always been found in the right positions on the pitch, and it seems like it is only a matter of him clicking with his team mates.
Once that does happen, then we can all assume that the flood gates are going to open for the forward, allowing him to score at a far more regular pace.
Giroud personally feels that he has just been unlucky in front of goal, but despite that fact he is still going to try his best to score as many goals as he can for the team.
He told the club’s official website: “I try [to score], I try all I can. Sometimes you need to keep the faith, to keep going. When you are a striker, sometimes it’s difficult. I don’t know why, but I do try to do the right thing.

“I think I’m a little unlucky. I’ll keep going and continue to work hard in training. People say to me, ‘the goal is coming soon, don’t worry, we trust you’ and it’s very important for me to feel the support of people and my team-mates."
The forward also went on to comment on his team, as he feels that they are doing very well at this point in time, and all they need to do is maintain their confidence and consistency, which would result in some very positive results for the team.
He added: “We are good team. Although we lost against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 I think it was an accident. We are confident for the future and I am confident. I don’t worry about the future. The goals are coming soon.”
The striker finally managed to break his deadlock in the Premier League against West Ham, and hopes that this is the mark of great things to come in the future.
Should Giroud be able to continue to score more crucial goals for the team, it won't be long before he becomes even more popular than he already is.
