Does anyone have any advice on products that actually work - over the counter or prescription?

I'm in my mid/late 30's and should have got over this by now!

  1. Personally, I just use a tissue to clear it up!  I don't think there is a magical solution for this!

Could try cutting down on caffeine, healthy diet and drinking more water?

  2. http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...

This product is great for oily and shiny skin, for any age.

  3. I have the same problem and I use Clean and Clear's Morning Burst or something like that. Your put it on your face and the little beads  burst and it controls the shine all day for me.

  4. Sometimes people are so obsessed they have a certain type of skin that they only use products for that kind of skin, this can be bad for you and even cause it. Also it may even be the foods you eat, if you eat greasy stuff like cheese. I have the same problem. Also, people tell me that you wash a load of the natural stuff off your face if you clean it too much and makeup isn't actually bad to sleep in, sometimes they are good (foundation, wise).

  5. shine control

  6. it could be the lotion you use on your face and the foundation too. i used to use oil of olay and then loreal mineral powder - and my face was super shiny - i hated it. so, i just ordered from avon magix face perfector and its supposed to banish shine for up to 10hrs, its a new product and it also reduces the look of fine lines and minimizes pores - if you want one, you can buy it at my avon website: http://www.youravon.com/mdelgado. its on sale right now (item# 578-917)- i suggest you try it, it seems like it really works! I'll find out in the next few days when i get it.

  7. Try using extra scented soap in the shower and before you go to bed, take your finger and wipe some dry soap onto it. Put that on your face.  This also helps if you have acne.  You can buy some cheap 99 cent acne treatment to dry out your skin.  If it's a little on the dry side it won't shine, but it will still be healthy+ it's only soap so your clean!

  8. i have the same problem i got mint water face wash for oily skin from the body shop and then just before i go to bed and when i wake up i put on quinoderm cream

  9. Apart of the other suggestions, why don't you consult with a dermatologist? Before using this and that product you should be aware of what causes your skin reaction. In my country we have something  called "tar soap", it is quite helpful in cases like yours but I'm not sure you'll be able to find it in your local market.

  10. I had the same problem for 7 years until I tried Mary Kay and I love the way my skin looks. Here is the link to the oil control products:

  11. use those oil absorbing pads and keep them with you.

use neutrogena and cetaphil found in costco and other places

  12. try the shiseido mattifying serum. IT is the best and I use it everyday! Tissue doesnt really help me at all because it just absorbs the outer sebum and it keeps on coming back every 5 mins.

  13. try blotting tissues

  14. Blotting sheets help the best. You can get some from Clinique or Shesiedo.

I got mine from Suprderug, their Clarity range for 99p for 65 sheets..

    It really does work! x
