The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NEC-c40018 Nijmegen defender has urged his teammates to put behind their woeful recent performances, and put in their 100 percent in order to claim all three points against Sam Allardyce’s men on Sunday.
West Bromwich Albion centre-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonas-c18967 Olsson, has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s upcoming English Premier League clash against West Ham United at the Hawthorns on Sunday, December 16.
The Baggies are heading into the game on the back of three successive defeats, but the 29-year-old central defender has insisted that his side can win the upcoming game against the Hammers.
“This is a game we can win. We approach every game with that will and desire to win every game”, Olsson was quoted as saying to journalists.
The Swedish stopper, who joined the Throstles in the summer of 2008 after making close to 100 Eredivisie appearances for NEC Nijmegen, went on to admit that the Hammers have secured impressive results in recent weeks whereas his side has been struggling to perform.
“West Ham have really played some good football. We've been struggling and we need to restore that way of playing that was so good for us in October and November”, Olsson added.
The Baggies were on a four-game winning streak when Swansea City ended their impressive run with a 3-1 victory on November 28. After that defeat, WBA went on to suffer back-to-back losses at the hands of Stoke City and Arsenal.
And the 29-year-old defender has admitted that his side struggled against the Swans and the Gunners, while insisting that his side could have claimed a good result against Stoke.
“Apart from the Swansea game, where we were outplayed, Stoke could have gone either way, and at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 we didn't play our best but in the second half could have got something out of the game”, Olson added.
Nonetheless, the former NEC stopper has stressed that his side’s upcoming game is extremely important, and will try their utmost to claim all three points.
“It's an important game and we need to get everything right for West Ham and find our way back to where we were. Our confidence will be improved if we get a win”, Olsson concluded.
WBA are currently sitting at the sixth spot on the Premier League table.
