The witty tactician did not begrudge 5-1 defeat against Real Madrid, claiming that it will not affect them in their next La Liga fixture.
Deportivo La Coruna coach, Jose Luis Oltra, was pleased with the performance of his players at the Bernabeu but lamented that his players did not give the true picture of the team as they competed against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He stated that that in order to compete with the likes of Los Blancos, Deportivo needed to play a perfect match but failed in their bid to do so in the away La Liga fixture.
The young trainer admitted that ball possession was a major problem for his players during the match, and they greatly suffered for giving away the cheaply.
Nevertheless, Oltra asked his players to take positives from the match and understand that they have more in themselves that what they showed on the lawns of Santiago Bernabeu.
"I am proud of delivery but not the image that we have. Had to make a perfect match for your best version can thrashed out. I'm disappointed that it was not us, we have not taken our best version, we have not competed. The ball has lasted very little and
have not come," he said.
Continuing on the topic, Oltra stated that the final result was damaging to Deportivo’s reputation. He claimed that Deportivo did not play as poorly as to deserve such a recital in numbers, but attributed the greater prowess of the Madrid based club to their
home advantage.
"We have been a strong team and Real Madrid has played quite comfortable. We're very good. You can win, but I would hate to see another picture of my team."
Deportivo La Coruna are on the road in their next La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano, with Oltra suggesting the result at the Bernabeu will not come to play at the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Campos-c8299 de Futbol de Vallecas. He admitted that losing always affects a team but believes
his charges will rally back against Rayo.
"It should not affect the defeat for the upcoming matches. Losing always hurts but get up, fix things we have not done well."
After an impressive start to La Liga 2012/13 campaign, Deportivo have suffered back to back defeats. The recently promoted Galician club are currently 15th on the standings table after accumulating six points from their league outings.
