Does our Olympic teams performance speak volumes for their dedication to their respective sport, rather than a desire to earn vast amounts of money (Frank Lampard's new reputed £34 million contract)

No, it just means they excel in a sport that it's much easier to excel in.

Because, other than during the Olympics, no-one cares about rowing or cycling and hardly anyone watches or takes part in it.

Lampard is worth his contract.
