Olympic Boxers? Anyone caught your eye?

Are there any boxers so far in the Olympics that have caught your eyey that you think could have a great pro career? Few of the cubans look class but they wont get their deserved shot at the Pro ranks! Who do you think?

  2. I Think there has been no catching of any ones eyes especially opponents.Very poor American team.

  3. There was Tommy 'Where's Me Wash Board' Thompson from the 1924 olympics.  He could go 'pro' one day!

    irelands olympic heroes. i have heard rumours of first two turning pro after olympics.

  5. Ukrainian featherweight Vasyl Lomachenko is awesome. The best pound for pound boxer i have ever seen!! The speed, movement, skill, power. unreal.

  7. I don't like the way Olympic judges are bias towards American and latin boxers. I stopped watching this events.

  8. I believe the Ghanian at light heavy would be an excellent pro, he was unjustly beaten by the brazillian, also my two colleagues Ken Egan and Martin Sutherland, watch out for the latter two

There really has not been anything too exciting.  Andrade, Estrada, and Warren were way over hyped.  Only Wilder remains.  Boxing has gone down the drain in the US during my lifetime (since 1976).  UFC and MMA rules and should be added as an Olympic sport.  If China wins the overall medal count, Diving and Boxing are the blame.  One of the best swim teams ever, one of the best gymnastics teams since 1932, even Fencing (one of the best performances ever) will win more medals (6) than boxing (1).  Diving is unlikely to win any medals unless a 2000-style Wilkinson comeback occurs Thursday.
