Olympic Boxing: There's been controversy this year over the scoring system, needing to hit with the front of ?

Question

the glove to score a point, could not similar technology as used in Fencing be applied(as a backup to the judges) to the sport to electronically score the bout?

Just a thought, feel free to rip the idea to bits!

Boxing rules of the game have their own uniqueness. In the international amateur boxing (AIBA) since the 1997 start of the new rules, adopted five rounds of competition, each round of two minutes, one minute rest between rounds. Boxers athletes with a direct hit in the head or the waist and above the other parts of the positive side, or, as a valid hit, and hit each time a 1:00. After the end of each round, the advantage of 20 points can be athletes, the athletes at a disadvantage relative scores reduced if the two sides regardless of level of strength, but also all 20 points. According to referee the two sides in five rounds from the total found in places such as the scores equal, in-game initiative or technical style better athletes win. OK, So the boxer only has to hit the front of his own gloves together to score a point?  Yeah, that'll work.

Not really plausible, you don't get a point for example for a punch that is deflected or defended against, only those that connect. So you would still more manual intervention to filter out those that don't count that you do to score the successful ones..
