I live in the far east.

I hear baseball is very popular in the US.

Then, why didn't major league superstar players take part in the olympic team.If they did so, the gold medal would be very easily gotten!

  1. Because the owners in our Major League only support one flag, and it isn't Old Glory, but the Almighty Dollar.

In other words, the owners of our Major League teams refuse to allow any players to leave the team for the Olympics, and they won't let the league take a 2 week break to accommodate the Olympics.

They won't even let top Minor League guys go for the Olympics.  The Team USA that represented Baseball in its last Olympic Games was made up of guys that have almost no chance of making it to the Major Leagues.

  2. I know i don't understand that either, they say MLB is to important whatever that means

  3. yes, but no one cares about baseball.

it's gone in 2012, so good riddance.

  4. because baseball isn't a very international sport, and america will have the edge in this game if you know what i mean.

For example, you don't hear much of baseball in England, only cricket.

  5. Unlike basketball, the Olympics take place during the major league season.  The teams would not allow their players to take 2 weeks off to participate in the Olympics.
