Olympic diving?

i was watching womens diving today, and i noticed that after every person dived, they went to a little hot tub thing. some of them dipped a rag in there for some reason. and some people went into it completely. what is the tub for?and why were people dipping towels in there and wiping themselves?

its just a hot tub. it warms up their muscles. the rag is called a shamy. its for drying ur self off between dives so when ur doing a bunch of flips in the air ur hands don't slip of ur wet legs.

The tub is of course a hot tub and they use the hot water to keep their muscles relaxed... They either prefer to abosrb themselves to relax or use the towel (their is a specific name for them but I forget it) soaking up some of the hot water and use that... divers do not have much room on deck so they use this to keep loose instead of constant streching!!
