Olympic games???????

Question

why do they picks sports like table tennis?...to air on tv...i mean how many people would watch that...no offence but how long could you watch table tennis? but...they also dont sow softball anymore which doesnt make sense because softball would have more views....who thinks they should show every event...they should keep showing events from the olympics even after the olympics are over...that way all the events will be shown....and no one will be upset.

And why not? Maybe you don't understand the game,so I can understand you don't like to watch!

The only games I don't like is the combative matches.

So if there are sports you don't like, do like me change to another Channel

I don't like shooting either. it takes as much effort as changing the channel on a TV remote

i agree, i enjoy playing Table Tennis for leisure, but it's boring to watch. It's also annoying that the country one lives in, the channels only show that countries participants. E.g In the gymnastics- China Gold, America silver, then it says, like, Austrlalia 29th!!!??? Doens't matter in teh end though, because overall the olympics are fun to watch. By the why, I don't know why i just ramble on sometimes, sorry

Cant we just have table tennis AND softball..i really enjoy watching softball this year - its the only chance we get to view it in australia.

Well even i think its weird putting table tennis well Table tennis in the olympics actually has different rules ok in our one of the ball goes off the table one point to the other side but its not like that in the olympics if the ball goes of the table they still have to try and hit it!

lol they don't show softball? In my opinion they show too much of softball at least when i watch. Besides, softball and baseball aren't really that popular worldwide as table tennis is universal. They actually do show all the events, some are while you sleep and on my tv there is the "HD channel" which shows a lot of the events NBC doesn't.

I think its unfair that their banning baseball and softball out of the olympics  they said their getting rid of softball because the united states are to dominant so your discriminating them from being good so whats the purpose of being the best in the world, if thats the case they need to get rid of ping pong thats not even a sport I cant see myself training and lifting weights to get stronger to lift a 2oz paddle back and forth since ping pong was introduced in 1988 only the chinese have won so why arent they banning ping pong. americans dont play ping pong competively and as you see the only ones from other countries who participate is chinese descent give me a break 40 million participants over the world and 39.96 million are chinese put baseball and softball back in the olympics

The events are based on world participation.  I personally would prefer to watch table tennis over softball.  I wish they would show all events too and not replay the same ones over and over again.  I am grateful for seeing what I can though as would hate to see none of it.
