Olympic medallist Darian Townsend earns Men’s 100m freestyle crown: 2011 Pro Dual Meet
Olympic and Commonwealth medallist, Darian Townsend of West smacked his opponents during the second evening of the 2011 Pro Dual Meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Thursday, November 17. Townsend went on to win the Men’s 100m freestyle title.
During the vital encounter, West’s athlete, Darian Townsend created aggressive turns in the pool against his challengers and earned a stunning mark of 49.28 seconds to claim Men’s 100m freestyle crown. Townsend was the gold medallist in 4x100m freestyle

Next, East’s Gard Kvale, Sebastian Bodet and Barry Murphy claimed eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth positions by thumping the finishing divider in a blot of 52.54 seconds, 52.60 seconds and 52.67 seconds, respectively. Last, but not the least, West and East’s
Davis Tarwater and Ian Hulme settled at fourteenth and fifteenth places in a spot of 52.99 seconds and 53.20 seconds, respectively.
Darian Townsend of West, Bobby Savulich of East and Alex Coville of West were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals along with cash prizes after the session’s completion.
