Aside from $10 or so, what's the different between the 2 types of paint??

I was on Lowe's website checking out the color Antique White (original paint in room is Antique White from Sears)

  1. You pay for name brands where Valspar isn't as as old probably just as good. I've had no problems with either. If you are trying to match a paint, use same as original. Also be sure to compare latex, acrylic latex and enamel. Flat, semi-gloss, egg shell or gloss as they are all formulated and dry differently. Also interior/exterior

Antique White is NOT the same shade from 1 paint to another.

  2. Just different formulas and price, you probably will notice little difference in the final finish.

  3. I worked for Valspar a few summers while attending college, they have one of the best paints on the market.

And by the way, there are over 340 different shades of "white"
